There are many of Insanity Workout review online but not many of them focus on the heart and soul of the workout – the DVDs. Without them, there would be no high intensity workout to follow. They give the workout regimen structure. These DVDs are instructional and one of the best compilations on the market today.

Ten DVDs come in the Insanity package by BeachBody. Each focus on a targeted area and are designed to work together. They range in different time spans and each is needed in preparation from one week of intense workouts to the next. Here is exactly what to expect after paying $119.85 for the entire package.

The first DVD called “Dig Deeper and Fit Test” is needed to kick things off. It is 30 minutes long and provides fitness testing. What makes this DVD complete is the ability to track results and go back and see where one week has progressed to the next. This DVD is instrumental throughout the 60-day workout and will be used over and over again.

Next is “Pylometric Cardio Circuit” with a total runtime of 42 minutes. This DVD focuses on working up a sweat and burning calories. It uses cardio and is used during the first month of training. This is followed by a 40 minute “Cardio Power & Resistance” DVD also to be used during the first month. Building muscle definition and working on upper body strength is the focus.

The next two DVDs are used during both months of training. The first is “Cardio Recovery & Max Recovery” at 33 minutes and “Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs” for duration of 55 minutes. The former allows the body to recover from previous workouts while the latter uses an intense cardio workout to push limits.

At 37 minutes, “Core Cardio & Balance” provides a short break from an intense workout and prepares the body for the second month of training. Coming in at 86 minutes long, “Max Interval Circuit & Fit Test” should only be used in the second month of training. It pushes endurance limits and is by far one of the most intense cardio workouts in the program.

“Max Interval Pylo” runs for 55 minutes and introduces some challenging pylo work for legs. It is used during month number two. This is followed by “Max Cardio Conditioning & Cardio Abs” at 65 minutes. Also used in the second month, the workout pushes cardio and ab workouts to the limit.

Finally, “Max Recovery” running for 47 minutes introduces some much needed stretching to the training. After two months of intense workouts, your muscles are in definite need of a recovery period. P90x reviews point to this at home workout as one of the most intense out there.
